The 'Derivative Work' installation presented a hedge-fund manager/art-collector's office, and explored the meaning/purpose of patronage and how (financial but also social/cultural) value is created, topics that have been relevant to art for hundreds of years. The title also nods to questions around appropriation, the ready-made, and artistic labour.
